Preamble

This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") describes how I (as defined below) collect, use, disclose, process, and protect information you provide or that is generated when you use the Service.

This Policy applies to all products, websites, applications, and services developed, operated, provided, or associated with by me (including but not limited to those presented under the names YC Huang, YC DEV, YC, Huang Youci, Youci Huang, and huangyouci.com) (collectively, the "Service"), regardless of whether such name existed as of the effective date of this Policy, and regardless of any later renaming, restructuring, or continuation.

By accessing or using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy in its entirety, including any future amendments made under Section 13. If you do not agree to any part of this Policy, please do not use the Service.

This Policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, which incorporates this Policy by reference as part of that agreement.

1. Definitions

Terms used in this Policy have the same meaning as in Section 1 of the Terms of Service, unless otherwise defined here. In addition:

"Personal Data": Any information that, directly or indirectly, identifies or could identify a specific natural person.
"Processing": Any operation performed on Personal Data, whether or not by automated means, including collection, recording, storage, use, transmission, disclosure, or deletion.

2. Information I Collect

To provide, maintain, improve, protect, and develop the Service, I may collect and process the following categories of information (including but not limited to):

a. Information You Provide Directly

Including name, contact details, account credentials, authentication information, and payment information you provide when registering, contacting me, interacting with the Service, uploading content, completing forms, or participating in activities, as well as content you input or upload for analysis, simulation, or generation features (such as academic scores, application preferences, resume content, voice, or images).

b. Information Generated Through Your Use of the Service

Technical and Device Information: IP address, device model, operating system version, browser type and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, approximate or precise geolocation (to the extent you authorize it), and information collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies.
Usage Information: Access times, browsing history, click behavior, feature-usage records, interaction logs, uploaded content, messages and communication records, purchase or transaction history, preferences, crash and error reports, usage frequency and duration, and query history for analytical or predictive features.

c. Information from Third Parties

Including public profile information, account data, and device information obtained when you log in, connect, or authorize through third-party services (such as Apple or Google); as well as information from partners, cloud service providers, analytics tools, advertising services, government open-data platforms, or other public sources (such as transit, geographic, or public statistical data).

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service and its websites may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain your logged-in state, remember your preferences, analyze website usage, and improve service quality. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect the proper functioning of some features of the Service.

4. How I Use Your Information

I may use and process the information collected for the following purposes (including but not limited to):

To Provide, Maintain, Improve, and Personalize the Service: To ensure proper operation, develop new features, fix bugs, optimize the user experience, and adjust content and recommendations based on your preferences or behavior.
For Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analysis, and Research: To use statistical, machine-learning, or AI techniques to analyze, process, infer, train, and optimize information you provide, actively or passively, to enhance service quality, functionality, or security. The nature and limitations of any analytical, predictive, simulated, or scoring output produced by the Service are described in Sections 6 and 8 of the Terms of Service.
For Communication, Notifications, and Marketing: To send service notices, system updates, security alerts, marketing messages, promotional activities, and surveys (you may opt out at any time under Section 6).
For Safety, Legal Compliance, and Rights Protection: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity, protect the rights of me, you, other users, or the public, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
For Technical Support, Customer Service, and Feedback: To handle your inquiries, complaints, feedback, and support requests.
Other purposes permitted or required by law or this Policy.

I do not sell your Personal Data to any third party for its independent marketing purposes. Beyond that, I may share, disclose, or transfer your information in the following circumstances (including but not limited to):

With Service Providers: With third parties who assist me in operating, maintaining, analyzing, storing, processing, or promoting the Service (such as cloud hosting, data-analytics, AI technology, payment-processing, customer-support, and marketing providers), who are contractually obligated to protect the security of your information. If a feature you use involves AI analysis, inference, or generation, your information may be processed by third-party AI providers and will additionally be subject to their own privacy policies.
As Required by Law: In response to applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or a lawful request from a government authority.
To Protect Rights and Safety: As necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of me, users, or the public, including to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
In Business Transactions: In connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, acquisition, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of the transferred assets; in such cases, I will use reasonable efforts to require the recipient to continue to honor protections substantially equivalent to this Policy.
With Your Consent or Instruction: As authorized, instructed, or consented to by you.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

Right to Know: To ask whether I am processing your Personal Data and to obtain related information.
Access: To obtain a copy of your Personal Data.
Correction: To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
Deletion: To request deletion of your Personal Data under certain conditions.
Restriction or Objection: To request that I restrict processing of your Personal Data, or to object to certain processing (including for marketing purposes), under certain conditions.
Portability: To receive Personal Data you provided to me in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where technically feasible.
Opt-Out of Marketing: To decline marketing communications at any time, via the unsubscribe link in the communication or by contacting me using the details in Section 12.
Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, to withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may contact me using the details in Section 12 to exercise these rights. For reasons of identity verification, legal obligation, technical limitations, or protection of third-party rights, I may not be able to fulfill every request, and I will respond within a reasonable period. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

7. Data Storage, Retention, and Cross-Border Transfer

Your information may be stored, processed, and transferred in any location worldwide, including where cloud servers used by me or my service providers are located, and may therefore be subject to data-protection standards that differ from those of your jurisdiction. Regardless of where your data is stored, I will take reasonable contractual or technical measures to protect it in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

I retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, except that retention may be extended where a longer period is required by law, where the data relates to an unresolved dispute or request, or where retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When retention is no longer necessary, I will delete, anonymize, or otherwise render such information unable to identify you.

If the Service provides analysis, prediction, simulation, scoring, or AI-generated content features, you understand and agree that:

To provide such features, content you input or upload (such as scores, application preferences, resume content, voice, or images) may be transmitted to my servers or those of third-party AI providers for processing, temporary storage, or use in improving service quality (including model performance tuning).
Except as otherwise required by law or as you separately and expressly consent, I will not use content you input for your own personal analysis for public disclosure that identifies you.
Such data processing is technical processing necessary to provide the Service and does not alter the "reference-only" nature of analytical and generated content described in Sections 6 and 8 of the Terms of Service, nor does it constitute any warranty by me as to the accuracy of such content.

9. Children's and Minors' Privacy

The Service is not designed for individuals under the age of 18, and I do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If you are the legal guardian of a minor and become aware that your child or ward has provided me with Personal Data without your consent, please contact me using the details in Section 12, and I will take the necessary deletion or other appropriate measures in accordance with applicable law.

10. Data Security

I implement technical and administrative measures that I consider reasonable and generally consistent with industry practice to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction; the specific measures used may change over time as technology and operational needs evolve, and are not limited to any particular technology or configuration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and I do not warrant that a security incident will never occur. In the event of a data-security incident that I am required by applicable law to report, I will notify affected users, and where legally required the relevant authority, in the manner and within the timeframe required by that law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any data breach, loss, or damage not caused by my willful misconduct or gross negligence (including but not limited to those resulting from hacking, technical vulnerabilities, or force majeure events); to the extent I am nonetheless liable, such liability remains subject to the limitation of liability in Section 17 of the Terms of Service.

11. Supplemental Rights That May Apply Based on Your Location

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with specific data-protection laws, you may have supplemental rights under local law beyond those described in Section 6 (such as the right to object to automated decision-making, the right to designate a data-portability recipient, or the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights). These supplemental rights apply to the extent and under the conditions provided by local law; where they conflict with Section 6, the more favorable provision to you shall apply, subject always to the reasonable limitations described in Section 6.

13. Changes to This Policy

I reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time. If I make changes, I will post the updated version and its effective date on this page; for material changes (such as expanding the categories of Personal Data collected or changing with whom data is shared), I will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance by reasonable means (such as an in-app notice or email) before the change takes effect. The updated Policy applies from its stated effective date, and your continued use of the Service after that date signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy.

14. Language Versions

This Policy is provided in multiple languages solely for the convenience of non-Chinese-speaking users. In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency, or translation gap between language versions, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail and shall be used for interpretation and dispute resolution.
